That’s pretty bad for 24 hours on a new seal, just sitting on the bench.
Can’t be a good seal. Looks okay, maybe not the right seal? Tap it back out, destroying it in the process. Not a big deal, I had two of them. Great, can’t find the other. Probably sitting in a box in my XJ, 1000 miles away. Is it even the right seal? It’s got the same part number and dimensions on it... Then... Oh cock.

Yeah. Still can’t find the other one I bought, so here’s hoping Napa can match the specs for me and get one over night. If not then I guess the Niva will be sitting in exploded view for a while longer.

Went back to Napa, they didn’t have a chance to look for anything yet. They promised to call me tomorrow AM, but I’m pretty sure that’ll be too late to make the freight run on time if they don’t have something in stock that’ll work.
