Going into town for few things means seeing people from the past. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I was just at the local grocery store, I hear a voice say “Hey Crazie”. I look over, I recognize the face, but not the name. I look at him confused, then it clicks. It was my grade 5 teacher. Last friday I go to the local bar for a drink only to see my grade 10 history teacher. No matter where you go, you see people from the past. Lots of the time you’ll bump into that trashy slut from high school who is still a trashy slut.

“What did I tell you about the Jukes, Crazie? I tried to warn you, but you were young and arrogant and you didn’t listen. And now look at you.”

I get along with most people, so I’m good. Just avoid the bar during the fall fair & maple syrup festival.

I grew up in the country near a tiny town. One day, I passed a car that I felt was impeding my progress. My mother knew about it before she got home. This was before cell phones.

There is one drive known as Old Lady Lexus. She always does 20 under. It’s an older ES350, I’ll text people OLL on x Road.

Shortly after I moved home (after 9 years away) I was getting my hair done. The woman a few chairs down from me was talking about how she had heard that a girl who did theater in Chicago had just moved back and she wanted to find her to help with the community theater, but she doesn’t know her name. I just sat there and tried to act like she wasn’t talking about me.
