Kinja'd!!!

This weekend’s rallycross was canceled, due to low car count. Their last two events ran with very low counts. When I checked last week, there were only 4 cars registered for this weekend, including me.

I’m concerned the whole organization is going under. They never posted the results for their last event, and there’s nothing on the website about the canceled event. They just deleted it off the calendar and put a little blurb on Facebook.

Next month’s event, like last month’s, is a four hour drive away, so that’s a no-go for me. Now the RallyMetro is going to have to sit for two whole months until I can run it again. It’s already been two months!!! I need my fix!!

I hope the car count is decent for the October event. Area Oppos, we need to support this organization if they’re going to survive. I’m willing to work out a deal with someone to do two drivers in the RallyMetro.

I would love to do a Rally X event, I even have two cars I would drive. Sadly where I live we don’t have any Rally X events.

Bummer... Think most RallyX events would let me run my ‘03 Pathfinder (stock height)?

That really sucks, I just drove in my first rallycross event a couple weeks ago, and am seriously looking forward to hitting up another once it’s not 3,000,000*F outside.

I know this organization would. I saw a stock height RAV-4 out there this year.

That’s too bad, it’s an insane amount of fun.

The heat definitely takes a toll. Staying hydrated is key.

For sure, but at a certain point dehydration just sets in no matter what. I was sweating the stuff out as fast as I could put it in. I think the raw temp was something like 103 that day, and then something like 115-120 with the heat index. So while I’m glad I went, had a blast, and will definitely go again....I just might skip the events during July and August from now on, cause I’m not sure people are meant to be outside during those months here in TX.

Edit: I just looked it up, raw temp was 106 so heat index probably started at 120....it was brutal out there regardless.

Cool - clearly would just have to take it easier than most in the bends, but would be a lot of fun.

Well, that sucks! Still would like to check it out one of these days, but man, this summer is flying by full of commitments.

The worst refund I got was last summer. Tried to get some stuff shipped from online to my sister’s apartment building. She has a locked security door so obviously the courier couldn’t get in. There was a note in the seller’s tracking info that delivery was attempted and the shipper was holding the package. They wouldn’t tell me which courier they used, or give me any sort of tracking number beyond their own. All I did was ask them which courier they used so I could send my sister to go get it, or arrange a delivery time when she was home, that sort of thing. Their response?

“We’re sorry your package didn’t arrive. We have refunded your purchase price. If you would still like to receive your items, please place the order again”.

NO YOU DOLTS! They same shit’s going to happen again! Why waste time and effort sending another package all the way accross the country when all you need to do is tell me who the fuck has the one in town and where I can go get it!

But yes., yours is pretty disappointing.

I know how that goes. Hopefully the October 15th event will run. How am I supposed to kill this Metro with no rallycross to run!?!?!

Do they have any rules against trucks with lifts running? My truck has a small lift (2 inches) but I don’t see anything on their site with rules against this. I’ve been itching to do a rallycross, but have been waiting for my current truck to become a beater/2nd vehicle which it will be soon

I’m sure they’ll let it run. I can call the owner and ask to be sure, if you want me to. I don’t see them turning away a vehicle the way things are going. Just bring a helmet, any helmet.

I’m supposed to go to the event next month (in a friend’s car), but it’s the same day as a big British car show.... ack.
