I used to drive one. They had 15 recall items before the first one was delivered. The spring mechanism for the spare would break if you didn’t let it down gently. We had the aluminum bench seats break during transit. They disconnected all of the throttle pulls because we found out you could go another 5 kms faster with it,than the pedal. That and one of our officers flipped one on the ice coming into town because he had it pulled and hit a slick patch. The story was they wanted a Canadian built vehicle (like the iltis by bombardier) and they dropped the requirements until one met them. A couple of my buddies were doing workup training for the Jug and when trying to pull a water buffalo (water trailer) across a road they broke two of them and the third’s frame shaped after it got the last few yards covered.
