It’s not fake, it’s just a video saying “Random guy in Ford GT couldn’t get away from random guy in Camaro during track day”.
Give the Ford GT to my mother, I’d pass her in a Ford Pinto during a track day. That still doesn’t mean the Ford GT is slower than a Pinto.

Next big comparison should be Motor Trends best drivers car which should be out next month and I assume both will be in it. Though they will probably have the ZL1 1Le. Then we’ll get same driver - same day results.

Using fastestlaps.com and a little “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon” I’ve come up with this. The Ford GT has set lap time on two “tracks,” Calabogie Motorsports Park and the Goodwood Hillclimb. Unfortunately the ZL1 hasn’t run either of these, but the Ford GT did beat the McLaren 675LT around
Calabogie
by 1 second, and the McLaren beat the ZL1 around
Willow Springs
by 1.87 seconds.
