As Oppo knows I’ve started my car hunt after totalling a couple cars this year. My preferred budget has been $14-20k CAD but willing to go higher if it’s new.

I may have found the solution: A new 2015 Boostang Premium
1) The color combination is clearly a mistake ... hence why I think it didnt move (yes the red up top is the exterior):
2) It’s a stick... I’ve never owned a stick car and I’ve only tried to learn once
3) It hasn’t moved since 2015
4) PRICE!? They’re asking $31,500 CAD ... is $26k CAD just insulting?

Don’t know how it is in Canada, but in NA, Ford could totally get away with asking $30k+ for that. The pony cars are in demand right now, and the V8s are probably going into the $40k bracket to stay next refresh. That plus the death of the 6 gives the 4s a lot of room to ask for more. And they will get it.

I’d offer like others said, 22-23k OTD and make them do an inspection before they sell it to you. Oh and make sure the warranty is valid from day of sale and not day of delivery.

That’s unusual. I don’t even think that color combo was an option, someone must have put in a really special order or the factory screwed up.
Can you find a similarly optioned used one with really low miles to compare to? I would offer around that, whatever it is.

The color combo is really really really weird/bad. The interior was a very rare option apparently (from googling it’s hard to find) but with the red... that must have been a mistake.
They seem to be running in the higher 20k range which is a bit too much IMHO.

The window sticker even says ‘Ebony Leather Grain’. It really looks like a mistake, or perhaps the interior was swapped with a different car

You’re right!! FYI Ebony leather means black. So ya it’s a mistake or the interior was swapped.
Was it swapped by request? Was the original car damaged so it didn’t sell and they changed the colour? Any ideas? I tried to reach out but didn’t hear back.
I know these have paint bubbling issues which is pushing me away...

I’ve owned two, one had 24k miles when I sold it and the other currently has 35k and I’ve never seen paint bubbling. I don’t think I’ve seen that many reports of it on the forums either.
Couldn’t tell you the answer to the mystery. Ask the dealership about it and/or contact Ford customer care with the VIN and see if they have details

That’s awesome to hear. I will admit I got pumped when I realized you traded yours in for a GT haha. Now I’m thinking I need a GT but for what I do it’s not quite what I need.
Ya, I’m trying to get a hold of them since it’s really bizarre.
Any issues I should be watching out for? I was thinking I’d get this for the right price if I can.
Otherwise I’m looking at a base V6 coupe, replacing the passanger seat with power (gf is really short and cant see out without it), replace the cloth with leather aftermarket and same with the infotainment.

Apparently the car was used as a marketing vehicle for Ford and registered in 2014. Warranty is nearly up, can be extended and was bought at auction.
The interior was swapped with a black mustang as the owner of the black one wanted a black interior so they swapped.
They want it gone but they dont seem desperate. They said ‘we can work something out’ I didnt give a number

That’s fascinating, and I’m almost impressed I was right about the interior swap haha. Honestly if you weren’t as far away from me as you are and got this I’d swap my black interior for your red interior. It’d add some color to my otherwise *BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK* car.
So it’s used then? Seems like it shouldn’t be advertised as new if it was registered and bought at auction. Regardless of its history as a marketing vehicle it’s pretty shady to advertise a car with a swapped interior and an expiring warranty as new. I’ll stick to my previous thought on price: it’s worth as much as a clean, low mile used ‘15 EB Premium. I would argue it has more options than one really needs, so you’d be better off finding a more ‘basic’ model, preferably still a premium, and getting it used to get closer to your budget.

I don’t think anyone really *needs* a GT, the EB is a great car in its own right. I still think if you took the EB Mustang exactly as it is, pulled off the Mustang badges, and marketed it as a “Fusion Coupe” car enthusiasts would lose their minds over it. Taking away the Mustang stigma leaves you with a 310 hp turbocharged RWD manual coupe with standard LSD that does 0-60 in under 6 seconds. The only real knock they’d give it is the weight as it’s still a rather large 3400+ pound car.
There’s not a lot to look out for, one thing to look at is the front of the engine tends to get a little oil leak. It’s nothing major, just a little seepage on the front of the timing cover, and there’s a TSB for it I think. Mine had it and the dealership fixed it under warranty. Other than that the only really common problem that comes to mind is the Pony Lights that project down from the mirror tend to deteriorate, my GT’s looked bad when I picked it up but I just had them replaced under warranty last week.
Why a V6? I would argue the EB is better all around and has better aftermarket support. I can’t imagine a new base V6 is that much different in price than a new base EB once you get the dealer to give you a real price.

It actually makes sense hahahaha. That would be awesome to swap. The dealer did mention cloth to leather (for lower models) is like a 1500$ option they can do for me.
I would say so and I agree that’s a shady practice. I actually think you may be right to go used but I dont know how low the dealer will go. He didn’t seem to want to negotiate but if he would ...

Oh no, I completely agree. The GT is the “halo” in of ‘basic’ (non roush/shelby) mustangs. My family would be turning in their grave if they knew I was considering one... I’m a Chevy man and I love the Camaro but the Mustangs are currently WAY cheaper.
I would love a GT but the fuel economy for doing 6000 miles a month just isn’t there.
That’s not too bad for issues. I’ll keep an eye out.
It’s that much better? The base V6 is like 24k$ up here, eco boosts start in the $30's.

I don’t have extensive experience with the V6 but it’s pretty unpopular. I’m sure it’s fine, but you get more torque and can easily add more power through a tune with the EB. And as annoying as the “shoulda had a V8" talk is with the EB you’ll get that and “why didn’t you get the EB” with a V6.

Really? I didnt know it was that unpopular haha, I guess it’s as base as you go. Every dealership I’ve called up mentioned it’s their best seller.
I would prefer the turbo 4 simply due to the premium pack but I could do that part myself aftermarket for 3grand (pass. power seat, leather covers, aftermarket infotainment).
My main concern is this will be my DD year round. I live in snowy/salty Canada and I drive 6000 miles a month lol. I want a boostang or the V6 but not sure how I’d feel “ruining” it.
