Not sure if it’s been posted yet, but T10 announced that Toyota will not be in Forza Motorsport 7 other than a few select race cars. My heart hurts.
Because we focused on Japanese cars this week, many of you noticed that Toyota was not included in the list. As you know, Forza Motorsport 7 will feature more than 700 cars at launch and our team is constantly working to license the vehicles that fans want to play. Unfortunately it isn’t always possible to align the interests of fans and the interests of our manufacturing partners. As a result, production Toyota vehicles are not represented in Forza 7. We’re as disappointed as you are about this news and, while we hope to bring Toyota production vehicles back to Forza games in the future, it is worth noting that a small number of Toyota race cars will be included in the game. Look for that list in a future edition of the Forza Garage.

Playing favorites I bet. Turn 10 is american and makes games for an american console. Polyphony is japanese and makes games for a japanese console. Toyota is japanese. It can’t be money, so it must be that.
Street level cars aren’t on GT sport’s list either, but it looks like not too many street cars are in that game anyway. Wouldn’t be shocked though if GT7 or whatever game follows sport has the MR-2, Supra and the like...

It’s lame for sure, but it’s not that bad of a play, if it is what’s going on. There are 2 PS4s for every xbox1 domestically and globally. There are many enthusiasts who can’t afford a new Toyota anyway, so pissing off the xbox portion of that group costs nothing. On the other side, many enthusiasts don’t play video games at all, so they won’t even know about what is going on. Domestically for Toyota, the Japan is PS4 land, so it makes a little bit of sense to try to tie themselves to Sony there. They’re pretty much kicking the xbox1 while it is waaaaay down in Japan, but that’s what you usually do when you’re playing favorites, lol.

Problem is Forza 7 is also available on Windows 10, so Toyota’s decision annoys much more people than only Xbox players
