I do not feel that old, and it’s making me a bit frustrated. Being stuck at work at a part-time job I hate doesn’t help when I haven’t found anything permanent and full time since I graduated 6 years ago either. But...

...I made it another trip around the sun, so here’s hoping the next one brings great things! :)

Kindly provide me with small FIATs and Eastern Bloc rides to satiate my appetite for when I get home in 3 hours! :)

They say that you’re only as old as you feel, but I prefer Ttyymmnn’s corollary: You don’t have to feel as old as you are. My corollary suggests that you still retain a certain amount of control.

However, I feel every bit of my 50 years, at least physically. Otherwise, it’s a great age. Happy birthday. Check back with us in 19 years.

I’m a uni grad with a BA (Advanced Major in History and a Minor in English) and a BEd (Secondary in Social Studies and Englsh). I’m up here in Canadialand, but I have applied to a few government positions...just applied to an archival position at a municipal level in a city an hour from me a week or so ago, but didn’t hear anything back.

I actually have very little debt, luckily....I never spend, it all goes to paying that crap off! No record, not even one speeding ticket or warning!

Ah the Sedici....such a weird re-brand from the Suzuki SX4. A friend in uni’s dad was an auto journalist and he was testing an SX4 once. My friend (his daughter) was driving it around for a few days when we were hanging out....I actually liked it quite a bit. The AWD made it a very capable DD here in Canada! :)

The Sedici is the best Fiat ever made because it’s not a real Fiat :p

Since you’re in Canada, you should get a car we don’t get down here, like a Micra, or a Rondo, or a Mazda 5, or for something used, an X-Trail, Orlando, or Mazda 323 Neo

Bah, I like FIAT regardless :D

I don’t mind the new Micras at all, neat little cars. Rondos are pretty common, as are Mazda 5s...I had no idea the 5 was still in production and even sold here! I thought they stopped selling them a year or two ago.

Xtrails are not as common, but interesting - center-mounted gauge clusters on those! Orlandos are absolute crap...I’ve seen several only a year or two old with wiring issues on the back where the rear turn signal lights both lit up every time the driver braked...

323 Neos were INCREDIBLY rare here when they were sold, and massively rare now as a result of that. I don’t think I’ve seen one in 10 years and can only recall seeing maybe the same 3 running around town on a regular basis when I was younger? Very cool though, wouldn’t mind one!

They stopped selling the 5 down here a couple years ago, and the Rondo was discontinued a few years before that.

Oh, also, I forgot a few other Canada-only gems: the Echo hatchback (how could I forget that one, they’re so cool and they’re Toyotas, so awesome reliability), the CSX Type-S (8th gen Si sedan but with some more luxury features, 8000 rpm and heated seats hell yeah!), and the non-electric B-class (they only sell the B in the US as an EV, and then only a few years after you started getting it) A B200 turbo manual would be fucking awesome.

Yeah, I really like small manual 4-cylinder cars with a sunroof!

Hey, no harm in small manual 4-cylinder cars! Small, manual cars, (especially basic, weird or quirky ones) are my bread and butter! :D

I was actually cross-shopping the Echo hatchback when I got my first car...really like those little things! :D
