Super fancy looks suspiciously 2wd.

It’s 100% 2WD, has the 5.3L hiding in it though.

I... have trouble with 2wd trucks. Understanding them, and so on. But if you’re happy, sure.

If you don’t go off-roading, or don’t live where weather and/or terrain dictates the need for 4wd, then it’s just an expensive toy. I have 16 Chicago winters under my belt driving 2wd trucks. 10 of those were on all season tires, and six of those all season tire years were in trucks with an open rear diff. Only needed to get pulled out once, and that was 15 years ago.

My next truck will likely by 4wd, but just because it’ll be fun to have.

I really like those wheels. I want to get a set to replace the round hole steelies on my ‘06 Sierra.

They’re by far the best base truck wheel out there. You can probably get a set ridiculously cheap if you look around some of the forums. I’m keeping mine as a winter set for sure (although with a black/gunmetal powdercoating)

Honestly 2WD somewhere like Michigan is more than enough with snow tires (and preferably an LSD). Plus for what I want to do the weight savings and simplicity of the 2WD is a big deal.

I grew up in Colorado though and 2WD just wan’t even an option in a truck.

Agreed. I’ve been trolling Craigslist. Hadn’t thought of the forums. I want to do mine in charcoal grey.

That’d look good. What color truck?
