As I was cooking meatloaf the Friday before Cars and Coffee the power nearly went out 2 times. It was my first time cooking meatloaf so it was perfect timing for a thunderstorm. In the end the meatloaf came out great, and the storm dissipated shortly after. The wife was happy, I was happy... But what about cars and coffee?

The rain somehow failed to completely soak Classic BMW’s lawn, so all cars could be moved onto the grass for the event. The weather on Cars and Coffee morning was great and I knew it would be a great one.

As I was walking around I was approached by many subscribers, and one of them asked me if I saw the new Ford GT yet. I replied with a no. I usually leave the super-car row for what it is due to the massive foot traffic. But upon hearing Ford GT I had to make a bee-line to at least see it in person. Somehow I was able to sneak in, get some tripod pans and as I got to the rear of the car the owners got in and started it up. This was all in a span of 5 minutes. Had that subscriber not said anything I would have missed it entirely and that would have been a major downer.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

The great part of this particular show next to seeing a Ford GT in the flesh? Both exit were open again! Great cars, I get to shoot my favorite exit spot AND again that Ford GT. This was easily the best show of 2017!

I was so worried about the rain, but was thrilled to see it didn’t have an impact when I arrived. I actually know who the owner of the GT is and had known it arrived. I debated on whether to go or not but decided to head down. I was obviously happy. The GT was mobbed the entire time, making it impossible to get pics with my 50mm lens. But wow that car is insanely beautiful. I saw the black and orange one in Daytona (Along with the racecars) but that color is mind blowing. Easyily my favorite.

Oh ya, the rest of the show was great to. Some good stuff.

I got a lens that is 16mm to 50mm so I can get pretty close. It was the kit lens that came with the camera and it works well for my videos. I couldn’t believe I got pans without people walking in the shot. That is insanely rare with a car that indeed was mobbed. I couldn’t believe that I got the startup where I was. The location could not have been better, sometimes you really need some luck to get in there. I love the liquid blue myself. But, playing around with the configuration I don’t think there is any color available that can make it look bad.

The chance I could drive of one of those in my lifetime is practically nil, but boy I can only imagine how that car handles. Still a little bit salty of the lack of a V8 exhaust note... But it really doesn’t sound bad at all! And it makes the previous “re-imagined” Ford GT a better classic! Ford is a clear winner with this car.

I use my 50 prime because it has the best glass of the other two I have. Makes me have to get creative! But I love the results.

I wanted to see the GT leave so bad, but the lighting where I knew he was going to leave was not good. So I went by the usual exit where the cop hangs out hoping he would make the right. But went back and the GT was gone, oh well. I got plenty of motion shots of the racecar anyway. You however got a good spot.

Yesterday was a good day. It’ll be hard to top this months show.

Hmm, you didn’t catch the green Lambo nearly rear-ending the Cherokee at 5:26? Lol Not technically the Lambo’s fault but you can’t expect the Jeep driver to know that you are going to do a full-throttle pull right behind him.

Nobody did anything stupid, just the usual getting on it leaving the show. That Jeep pulled into the Huracan’s lane with little warning. No bent metal - no foul.

what was the deal with the two Vettes taking up three spots at the beginning of the video? Because they were the only ones with nice cars there?

I don’t know, I don’t go over parking etiquette. It is very possible they parked that way to get some nice shots of both cars.
