Kinja'd!!!

Now that I have your attention, here’s another post about the loaner car.

I got a little bored of it after two drives and wanted to give the longbed the old Italian tuneup, and I told my wife she could use it for whatever. So of course she immediately took the offer and drove it all day yesterday. She loves it and asked if she could take it to work the next two days. Hell yeah, lady. Enjoy thyself.

While I was initially disappointed they couldn’t loan me an IS or GS, I’m actually glad it went down this way. Because my wife gets to have a little fun, and I’m always eager to get her excited about cars, crossover or not.

Looks like someone is crossing over to the black side of new(er) cars

I’m not sure why, but I have a weird desire to buy a previous gen RX with the f-sport package with dark gray wheels, and just keep it as a “winter beater” forever since it’ll probably never break.

They look the best of any RX. They are still numb (even in F Sport trim), but if you’re looking for a comfortable, no hassle vehicle to put 200k miles on....

The Lexus grille always makes me think of the titular creatures from the TV film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Langoliers.

. It’s funny because I’m finally coming to realize that my 335i really isn’t THAT bad. Hasn’t left me stranded yet and I just crossed 82k!

I thought the same too. And then my ac compressor seized and my serpentine belt broke. When fixing that we noticed moderate oil leaks from the oil filter housing and the valve cover. So not the worst... But still ruined my confidence

I got lucky and when I purchased the car, it already had the valve cover gasket and oil filter housing gasket replaced... it also had the HPFP replaced 4 times under warranty haha. Seems like the original owner endured all the unreliability *knocks on wood furiously*
