Here’s the landlord’s grandkids’ car charging in our living room. It’s getting remodeled a bit so we can’t move in until the 15th, and that’s why there’s stuff in it for now. Still, it’s exciting! My girlfriend and I are finally going off on our own.

Congrats! The biggest piece of advice that I give to any couple moving in together is this: make sure that you still make time for yourself. Spend lots of time with each other, but do something on your own on a fairly regular basis. Otherwise, every moment of your life is either at work, asleep, or with your girlfriend and that can wear on you. It doesn’t have to be much. It can be a weekly card game with friends, a trip to the local dirt track, or just going for a drive, but make a little time for yourself.
