But you can get one for under 20k and that’s a pretty decent deal for a V8 muscle   sports pony car.

However, you can also get a C5 Z06 for a similar price. Which is the better deal? That’s up to you.

I never thought they looked that good to begin with, if you want the honest truth. The last truly good looking Camaro was in 1981, IMO. Though the ‘82-’92 are fairly decent as well.

There was a time that I was obsessed with the early 5th gen Camaro. But now that the new one is out, it just looks fat and ugly.

The later ones looked better. But yeah, they’re a little chunky looking.

I just felt like it wasn’t a good enough design on its’ own or as a throwback.

I’d rather get a c5 or c6 corvette. Most c5s are under 20k.

The facelifted cars looked a lot better.

6th gen is a huge improvement though.

The first iteration had a steering wheel that I loved , based on the 60s Camaros. That went away, and so did my initial love for the reboot. Still, the car is on par w/ the throwback Mustang, and though I like the Challenger a bit better, I could be persuaded.

It is a GM design, of course it aged poorly.

The only car tastefully-designed car they make is the Corvette.

For me the 3rd gen is the epitome of Camaro. Acres of hood, seating so far back the rear passengers may as well be on top of the rear end, ripcord pulls for door handles, ‘big’, ‘powerful’ engines and god damn T-Tops.

You can get a C6 vette for under 20k...

Saying “haven’t aged well” as if it’s a 20-year old design makes me feel old.

Yeah, I’ve always been partial to the 3rd gen. I know they were down in power, and the materials and build quality weren’t great, but it was a great looking design. Always thought it had a vaguely Italian feel to it, somehow.

These things still look as good as the day the concept was introduced imo. That may have something to do with it coming out right as I was really getting into cars. My cousin had one of the first 2010 Camaros to make it to customers and I just stood in awe the first time I saw it in person.

I loved my 2014 SS that i had, but in terms of performance it really pales to the current 6th gen, which i just traded the my 5th gen in on, it just does everything better. While i still really like the style and design of the 5th gen, it just was lacking horsepower for its weight in the base SS models.

I was never a fan. They always looked like toys to me. I remember sitting in one at the auto show and balking at the horrible quality interior.

Non of the 2000s retro cars aged well. From the Ford Thunderbird to the 350Z. They all just look dated now.

Also 19,000 seems like way to much for a 8 year old Chevy that isn’t a Vette.

i agree , after you drive a 6th gen, its night and day difference. The added horsepower and weight loss did wonders for the car. I just did the swap from a 14 Camaro SS to a 17 Camaro SS and holy cow.

Which is exactly why it’s shocking to me. Back in 2010 I had one on my desktop wallpaper, as my MySpace profile pic, I had a poster of one on my wall plus countless Hot Wheels. I loved them. Now they just look old and fat.

The face lifted ones do. My friend has an SS 1LE and it looks great, especially compared to the gen 6's gaping maw.

The same can be said about any technological device from the 2010. Smartphones, laptops, so on, so on. etc. The car’s design lines were pretty great and hyped up well by Transformers, but the effect wore off very quickly.

You know what still looks very nice though? The refreshed 5th Gen ZL1s that only received the refreshed tail lights.
