Well let me tell you, the NX was going to be a let down unless you really like buzzy vehicles with no power under the curve.
The only things worth driving right now at a Lexus dealer are the IS350, RC/GS F, LC500 non hybrid....
...........and thats about it.

You know what also bothered me? The road noise in the RX. Akin to a window being slightly cracked but none was... In my IS, it’s like a bunker. Super quiet.

Do not compare a new Lexus to a Lexus more than 10yrs old. There is no comparison. Paint and metal quality alone are substantially better in the older cars. Also you’ll notice if you park somewhere under dripping water, the new cars just go ping ping ping, and the old cars you either hear nothing or the wonderful dead thud of sound deadening.
I could go on for days.

That’s an amusing and unique take on it.
Oh well, you (nor I) are not the demographic for it. I seldom see a man driving a late model one who is under 50-60, and even older ones attract middle aged and above - and it is 90% the fairer set anyway.
