You beat me to it. Clearly he’s never seen the show “Monsters Inside Me”. Way too many parasites can get in your body thru the soles of your feet. I won’t even walk around my house barefoot! Mostly because I have a dog, and you never know what he tracks in from being outside.

It could take decades before you find out about it. Some (like ringworm), will be evident because they are visible thru the skin. Others hide in your organs (including your brain), and might not cause any symptoms for many years.
