Update:. She said goodbye our kids and got hugs and kisses from them and crossed over the rainbow bridge in our family room.
Saying goodbye to this fuzzball tomorrow morning and on my way home today a Civic attacked my Corolla. Bonus kitty and baby picture at the end.

I spent all day teaching a STEM camp to middle schoolers and was most of the way home sitting at the ass end of a line of traffic when someone failed to notice said line of traffic and didn’t quite make the avoidance maneuver work.

Wow, that sucks. If they give you a rental while that’s in the shop, make sure you do an oppo review. Also, I’m gonna assume ok? I’ve had several accidents and even if I isnt your fault you can’t stop thinking about it for days or weeks.

19 years old, and a variety of health issues. Brianna predates my marriage by years. She picked my wife back when she was in grad school. I actually had to start feeding her to win her over when we started dating.

Its the wife’s car so she will probably pick up the rental tomorrow. I pulled the car seats out of it and they seem fine, no airbags or other faults. I am still glad it was just me in the car not with the kids. It would have almost been driveable if not for the bent steel. The offending Civic was most certainly not driveable after.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My wife and I recently lost a very sweet kitty far too young. We still have two that are still adjusting to the change.
Here’s our youngest that recently realized he could get into my son’s loft bed.
This is our eldest, my wife has had her for 15 years. She can be grumpy, but she’s all hiss and no bite because she’s down to only two teeth.

I had never expected to get up to three, but the black cat I literally picked up off the side of the road when he was too small to be on his own. The one we lost was my girl, and I think I’m taking longer to adjust than the other cats.

That sucks. In the last few months my front bumper has been punctured by someone’s hitch and the back left corner scratched by someone that pulled out too close to me. Of course, no notes were left behind accepting fault for the damage they caused. I wish I didn’t have to park in the street.
I miss teaching at the STEM weekends. I focused on flight simulation and helped with model rocketry amongst other classes. With my current work schedule I just can’t plan far enough ahead to make this viable again.

Damn, that’s heart wrenching. We have 3 cats, 2 mother & daughter black & whites that my wife had and 1 big ole Siamese guy that I had. We’re a cat Brady Bunch.
The older of the two black & whites is 15-ish now, and she’s had thyroid problems for a couple years. We have her on pills for it and considered doing a radioactive iodine treatment for it but haven’t gone that route. She’s gotten rather scrawny over a similar time but I think that’s actually because of dental issues.
She just had a few more teeth pulled and seems to have started eating more dry food since then, whereas before it was pretty much only wet. I think the bad teeth were bothering her when trying to crunch the dry food.
My wife is already worrying about when the time will come for this one but I’m trying to convince the cat to stay with us for a few more years.
