Just a random gratuitous 2JZ post because my coworker is working on relocating the battery tray in our parking lot over lunch.

Is he moving it to the trunk? It seems like putting the battery in there would be a bad idea with the fuel tank being inside the car. I have visions of being badly rear ended then having the whole car light on fire as the battery short circuits into the tank.

Yes. He’s a little crazy. His current DD is a VIP’d 2nd-gen LS400 that he recently picked up for around $2k. He splits a rented house with a guy that is a Toyota tech and also has a built SC300. Their living room is basically a mid-90's Toyota junkyard.

It’s just moving about an inch back in the stock position. Right now it fits but the wider-than-stock radiator got in the way of the tie-down. He’s moving it so he can get it strapped down and pass tech at the track.

At least Zoidberg would have a place to stay if he visited.
