Woooo! Track day photos! Putnam Park is a fast and flowing track. Spent a lot of time on the right side of the tires.

Kinja'd!!!

Making progress and getting faster, but still need to work on hanging off more. It feels so much more exaggerated than it actually looks in photos.

Kinja'd!!!

Also getting more comfortable leaning the bike further over now that I raised the pegs up to get more clearance. Still occasionally drug my toe in some turns.

Kinja'd!!!

And a few screengrabs!

Already re-aligned the front end and replaced the radiator. New handlebars and grips arrive today! Still looking at options to either repair or replace my leathers though.

Keep the shiny side up!

Putnam is a fun track for sure, with lots of runoff room. Watch out for the crest coming out of the carousel (big bear I think?). I’ve seen guys hard on the power coming out there and high side over the top of the crest when the bike gets light.

Were you there with the guys from Indy Ducati? I heard they had a 1:10 lap!

Nice work. Try moving your feet to have just the ball of your foot on the peg. Also, shameless quick dump from my track day this weekend riding the Daytona in Streetfighter fashion (I had a leaky radiator that i plugged and was too lazy to put fairing back on):

With the fresh pavement that was the only spot where I felt the bike really get unsettled. I had a bit moment there when my rear tire slipped a bit more than expected.

I was there with Midwest Trackdays, but they partnered with Indy Ducati for the weekend.

Saw this beast there too, Suter MMX500.

What are you talking about? V-twin, trellis frame, round headlight, all classic Ducati Monster ;)

Kidding aside, don’t worry I don’t think they’re salvageable after their last protest...

Not a scratch. I bailed on a turn and took it into the grass and ever so gracefully dropped my bike at 5-10 mph. Handlebar caught the leathers on the way down. It was an old set and heavily perforated in that area so once the tear started it ripped pretty easily.
