So we’re out running errands and have a little date afterwards. We probably spent four hours in the car overall. After dinner, she shifts in her seat and asks, “Do you want know what it’s like in the passenger seat?”
“No, I’ve sat there be— wait.... are you saying you want to drive this?”
“Maybe.”
My wife is not a car person. Of the cars I’ve owned, and the several I’ve borrowed, my wife has NEVER ever ever asked to drive any of them. Not my Integra, not my dad’s MDX, not our old roommates Mustang, nothing.
“Sure.”
I pull over and we do the Chinese Fire Drill. We cruise for 10 minutes and she has this shit-eating grin on her face.
“What do you think?”
“This is great!”
“Give it a little gas... Little more.”

“Do you think that’s a cop down there?”

Step 2) Don’t tell wife, and put it one when you get home.
Step 3) It’ll never start for her so she’ll never drive it.
Step 4) Economic profit from the additional utility derived from driving sportscross more.

Better stance it so she hates it. Your wife sounds like my mom with her X6, I told her to floor it while merging on the highway (she never goes past 1/2 throttle), the back end kicked out a tiny bit. She catches it, & turns it into a beautiful power slide.

I don’t have this problem. My wife did get her license as a kid in Japan but never used it. She crashed two cruiser schwinns in Hawaii so I’m not sure she is ready for CA.

My wife who knows how to drive manual but hasn’t driven one in last 2 decades did something similar. I bring the SS home from the delaer after driving some 250 Miles. Park it in the garage.she rushes out. Grabs the keys. And reverses back and goes around the block. All this time I was expecting that she’d hesitate away...but Noooooo.
Come back and says this car is fun.
Now I know where takes it out when I take the other car...

When we were in Colorado I taught my wife about vehicle control using a RZR. She started NATURALLY COUNTER STEERING when the backend would go out... The only time she goofed is when I tried to coach her around a big corner to get massive slide and she forgot to counter steer because my distraction. Whoops. Almost had a few bruises when it stopped from from 25 sideways but luckily it didn’t decide to topple. I was very impressed.

The Former Mrs. RPM took my M3 for an early school run one morning when her car wouldn’t start (I had worked late the night before, so she let me sleep). My kid was aghast—this was like four years ago and I think he’s still in shock. When she got back, she said “I don’t think I should ever have a car that fast—I would get too many tickets.” Although she never stopped saying it was a dumb car because it was too small and too low (frankly, she was probably right about both).

I’m pretty sure those window deflectors are rare as hell, and I vote leave the grill out. If you do want a grill, maybe get the JDM one? They also have roof rails, I think a certain year Rav4 one fits nicely.
