All I can say is, I would be a fan of any stance that achieves a performance objective.
Stance for the sake of appearance is not something I can get on board with.

There’s a guy in my neighborhood with a lifted Dodge diesel on low profile tires, massive offset orange wheels, with a giant stack in the bed. Drives me nuts when he drives by. I also used to live next door to a guy with a catless M3 that he would fire up and let it idle for exactly 20 minutes every time before he would drive it. The first few times, cool car dude. The last 400 or so times, I wanted to set it on fire.
At least questionable cosmetic/suspension mods don’t me bug me while I’m in my house.

In Seattle everyone has an Sti. Literally everyone. At this point I feel like catlass Sti’s just get a pass, whereas any other car even half as loud would get the cops called. Truly a strange thing

I mean if we’re going to get technical, the original point of a stanced vehicle (appearance wise) was to eliminate and seam/gap between the wheel/tire and the fender by adjusting ride height, camber, and spacing/dish. Most of these do that pretty well

If lowering for performance results in stance-like appearance, it’s fine, but just seeking the “lowz” for looks is stupid.
