having owned the FoST for two weeks and 500 miles now, I figured a brief update is in order. Both for the car, and my life. First things first, it’s incredible. Like I said before, the refinement is a very pleasant surprise and as the car breaks in, the gas mileage is getting better and better. It feels wonderful to drive and shift. The paint was freshly sealed yesterday and it is dazzling in the direction sunlight now. I am so glad I got a yellow one. So do I miss the FiST? Not really. Not in the day to day grind. The FoST is so far proving just as fun on the road while being more comfortable. Sure I can’t cock a wheel whenever the need takes me, but that’s a small price to pay for the reduced road noise and much better build quality.
As for my life....well, there was one final swing from the ex. She saw me at a party not too long ago and I brought along a date. Apparently this translated in her mind that I had been cheating in her for months so she made a bunch of accusations and tried to get my friends to turn on me behind my back. We argued it out a few nights after that and I was able to set the record straight so all’s well enough now....but I did meet someone incredible and I guess I’ve bounced back in a big way. I love my car, I love my bike, I am surrounded by good people again aaaaaaaand it turns out everyone else distrusted my ex a while ago and were waiting for me to really see it. So that’s nice to hear! :/
Bleh. July was rough. But August is looking much better. The new girl wants to go to car events with me so I might have to take her to Woodward since she never heard of it before. So if you see the banana express on Woodward, feel free to say hi if you’re out for the cruise!

Looking at my sidebar and the lead image, I think it is very apparent that I want everyone to know how much I like triple yellow as a paint color. We’re fast approaching the yelow singularity over here. No other color will escape its lemon-y appeal (a-peel?)

Just read some of your earlier posts, makes sense. It would be CRAZY to spend $4k on seats lol. The aftermarket has certainly gotta be able to beat that price. I was balking at spending $500 for a set of nicely bolstered seats to go in my Miata so I certainly understand!
Plan to keep it stock or any crazy modding goals? I wonder if a mild tune works wonders for these.

Ah, the ex-grilfriend stories of seeing/talking to other people whilst in the relationship.

Best part was I *told* the ex about this girl multiple times. But we never even spent time alone in any capacity until we broke up. Then this somehow translated that I had been harboring a secret relationship for several months. Let’s ignore that the ex was a serial cheater during this time too.....
I think she was just projecting. But yeah, I’m way way way WAY happier now.

Ooof, my ex wasn’t cheating on me but she made up a story that I was actually going out with my current girlfriend when I hadn’t been alone with her a single moment during our relationship. They said horrible things about her since I was coming out of a long term relationship (3 years) which I will never forgive the small-minded, halfwits that lived in my hometown.
Funny how things work out, I DID end up with her as happy as I can be.

Keeping it stock for now. But this weekend I am junkyard crawling for some winter wheels and probably getting some mudflaps soon too. Outside of a snow package, I am fine with it as-is. Well, that and some better speakers...

Why not use the stockers for winter tires and then get some nice daily wheels? Probably the more expensive route but wheels are always the first upgrade for any car.

More expensive to get winter tires for the stocks. Plus summer tires are easier on the larger 18" wheels. I might get something lighter down the road, but we’ll see.
