(I’ll post more recent photos when I get off the road, these are some I snapped a while back)

It’s about time I’d say. The black and silver 90 TSi you’ve all spotted in my past posts belongs to my childhood best friend Nathan, or used too. I’m proud to announce that the beauty will soon belong to me. It’s been a while since I’ve owned a turbocharged first generation Talon, and I cannot express my excitement enough.

Modifications are tasteful, and it will get exceedingly better from here. Right not the car has the following: (sorry I cannot bullet point as I’m on an iPhone)

Punishment racing 3" exhaust

Punishment racing front mount intercooler with Tial Q blow off valve

DSMlink V3 with 2 step anti lag

FP hard intake

Maintenance has been performed and the car runs a 16G turbo.

I’ll be building up a head here shortly for it with some 280 cams to go with my H1C Holset that’s painted to match my trick Hyundai valve cover.

That is the only correct color scheme for a first gen DSM. Super awesome.

Also, any benefit to the Korean valve cover other than humor? Either way, humor is a totally acceptable reason by itself :)

Ironically this is my first black and silver two tone. I’ve had a few black 1gb models, my brother had a car identical to this years back. It really is a survivor, and I feel extremely fortunate to have a best friend that offered it to me on the terms that he did haha. We’ve both worked on this car through heat strokes and weekends off to make it what it is now.

Oh and I just noticed the valve cover question. Actually it’s slightly more reinforced, 4G63 valve covers have a tendency to snap if you put slightly more than the required torque to it. The Hyundai ones aren’t nearly as bad. Plus they’re extreme rare and desirable. Honestly more of a bragging rights piece.

ohhhh yessss. I had a 6bolt in my 2g dsm with a 16g turbo. Made 300WHP and 330 torque.

Looks very clean too. Nice score

Thanks so much! Those are healthy numbers for sure. This one is at stock boost, I need to nab a timing light and set base timing so we can readjust global dead time since it’s outta wack to compensate. Then it’s time for a 255lph DW pump with rewire, run 2g fuel pressure and go 19PSI on this 16g.

I’ll definitely be going higher. I’ve got the Holset in the pictures, it’s going to go on with some big injectors and a built head, probably 25psi or so.
