I drove Denver’s 2-hot-4-U X90. It might be the most Jalop vehicle ever

Kinja'd!!!

jalop summary:

-90s

-purple

-RWD

-selectable 4lo 4hi

-recently saved from being a parts car or junkyard crusher

-bought and immediately needed severe engine overhaul

-purchased for $1, with 75 cents found within

-everything needs a little bit of work

-it only exists because of hubris and factory parts bin and rebadging efforts

my advice, if someone FB messages you with:

Kinja'd!!!

you should reply:

Kinja'd!!!

I so wanted one of those when new. Then slap a lift kit on it and big ass tires. Would of been as slow as DrZoiberg’s Tercel. but lack of money made me buy crap cans

superbly. plenty of go.

now... stop, that’s another story. Although he relayed that a pile of brake parts were in the trunk (trunkette?) awaiting time to fit them.

Fun fact! The 2.3L engine from a 2000s Suzuki Aerio swaps in fairly easily and adds ~50hp over the factory 1.6L.

Potentially the 2.4L from the last-gen Grand Vitara will swap as well, giving nearly 100hp over stock.

I’d drive the shit out of that tubing. FYI can you make it RWD?

Did you take the roof off?

yeah, apparently its default state it rwd, with option to shift it to 4hi and 4lo. it should prove really capable!

bope, left the roof on. felt risky to mess with someone elses old seals :)
