But we still can’t make small screws that don’t suck ass ffs!

Kinja'd!!!

The Integra’s having starting issues, so I busted out the multimeter to check it out and the batteries were dead.

Also mfw when I open it and it’s a d-cell battery.

I’ve never seen a D cell in a DMM. Usually they use AA, AAA or 9v. *shrug*

Hopefully the battery didn’t start leaking and corroding the contacts before you pulled it.

Those screws look like they go right into plastic. Nicer DMMs typically have threaded brass inserts for machine screws to go into. Far less frustrating.

The square one. Now that I think about it, I don’t think that’s a d cell.

The battery was fine, just dead.

Yeah square with both contacts on top is a 9v. I recommend replacing with a lithium 9v, as they are less likely to leak in the future plus they last a lot longer when not in use.

Pro-Tip: Using a better screw driver makes a HUGE difference. Most people scoff at at those expensive german screwdrivers until they actually use one.

Lol, Bosch makes multimeters? I work for Bosch. We use their power tools, but I had no idea we even made meters. I mostly use Fluke meters at work.

I kind of doubt it’s actually made by Bosch. I got it from O’Reillys so it’s probably made in China and Bosch just charges them to put their logo on it lol.
