This was in the bay next to me while I was getting my oil changed. I felt poor just looking at it. Then I remembered the reliability of my truck will greatly outlast his car.

Kinja'd!!!

His oil change cost $120 (overheard the manager) but what I thought was cool of him was he tipped the guys $10 each that were in the garage that day.

Probably still a deal for him - the oil change at a Maser dealer is probably over $200.

Man if I drove something like that, I’d be nervous about ground clearance. At least we know it’ll clear the lip of the pit!

I’ve had a $120 oil change in my Mustang GT so it’s nothing new.

I was in Seattle over the weekend and that seemed to be a relatively popular choice. The last time I was there I saw multiple Lotuses and this time it was 4-5 Maseratis.

Synthetic oil is fun.

I watched him pull out of the bay and I just kept thinking that I hope he doesn’t hit the brakes or throttle too hard because the squat when he does would probably touch the top of the bay

I always say this is how I’ll be when I’m rich. Glad to see someone else is too.

It’s just synthetic, changed once per year or every 12k miles.

It’s somewhat of a wash in terms of maintenance costs in comparison to dino oil. If the standard oil change is $37 as stated on the sign in the back, and you do it, say, 2.5 times per year, you’re at $92.5 on an average year.
