The engine it push rod V8, & the trans is GM 3spd automotic. I’m not worried about that, the consumables (brakes, tire, etc) would kill.

And at the same time, can you afford to spend 3 times more on fuel?

Yeah, that’s about what they go for. You can also get a 45ft wooden Chris-Craft with three staterooms and two heads for about the same money. And for the same reason. The initial purchase price is merely the downpayment on the total cost of ownership.
