So I saw this pop up on my youtube page. A song named after a malaise station wagon, what could be more Oppo? It’s not a brown, diesel Peugeot 505 , but I think it works as well in a different category.

Oldsmobile wagons are a higher level of Oppo than mere brown, diesel, manual 505s. Like the song - very Harold Faltermeyer-y.

They usually had Olds 307's, no matter what badge was up front. Those were even bigger dogs than the Chevy 305.

ha and I’m sure there’s a lot of muscle car guys that ended up with them when the kids arrived - the temptation to mod the hell out of them would be huge

But they had domed pistons, I’m told, and when I rebuild my 250 I6, I’m going to use 307 pistons to get about 3/4ths of a compression number. (I know about this because I correspond with an Old Guy.)
