Kinja'd!!!

While I am not yet convinced that this widget is a better option for media than a Roku or similar box, I have found one distinct advantage over the competition - when using it for YouTube videos you don’t get any commercials. Nice. $20 well spent.

We have one and I’ve used it to stream YouTube videos, but I haven’t noticed whether or not it excludes commercials. Now I have to go home and try it.

I have one and a Roku, I’m about to try a month of Youtube TV which only works with the chromecast not the roku. The other thing, that I rarely do, is tell the Google home to cast something to the TV. Hey Google, play on family room has saved me a few times when there was an impending toddler meltdown.
