After over 3 hours of being stuck here, and 2 hours of waiting for the tow truck to get here, they fucking suck. Also, Dad has learned his Jiffy Lube lesson. They overfilled the radiator.

How do you overfill a radiator?

Add fluid to the expansion tank.

Because Jiffy Lube. They said it needed a coolant flush... I shook my head, but my Dad bought it.

Wouldn’t it just leak on the ground if your overflow fills all the way? Every one I have seen has a line to leak off.

It has leaked. Enough to cause the coolant light to go off.

Hmm a coolant light? Never daylied a car new enough to have one of those

It’s a 15 year old Chevy, so it isn’t exactly new.

It’s not coming from there.

Oh, I know, I didn’t mean to come across as snarky. It’s just amazing how it cooled just fine pre-Jiffy Lube, and wouldn’t idle for 5 minutes without heating up after Jiffy Lube.

I left Geico for the same reason. Upset that I had ever left State Farm.

yeah, that IS definitely some frustrating stuff, when it is just fine before.... might there be some air trapped at the top of the system somehow?......

I don’t see how overfilling the overflow could make the car overheat, now if they did a flush and left enough air in there for the pump to spin and not move fluid that could do it...

That also is a likely culprit. But I feel like if it’s overflowed the system wouldn’t have room to flow properly either.
