Had I bought an ST3 instead of a base model, I may still have mine. In the grand scheme of things, I wish I would’ve kept it and got an old truck for a project, instead of getting a new truck and an old car.

It really is a great little car. The interior is nicer than all but the GTI in the price range, too.

i had a guy tell me that to and I told him you may make a sale if I drive it or you may not, but there is no way in hell you are making a sale if I dont drive it. I did end up getting a WRX, just not that one.

I am! We get back Sunday but I went to go test drive a WRX and they said no for dumb reasons so I said fine I’ll go test drive a FoST.

Get the Ford racing pack when you get it. Dealer installed for free and full warranty. It’s the way the car should have come from the factory. Gets rid of the overboost and 275 HP 300 torque is really fun in that little thing.

Really? Oh well, my FiST was out of warranty and I was very happy to reduce my monthly payments. But that’s a very good thing for buyers if the rebates continue. I know lots of STs are still in stock on the east side of Michigan but the west side is bone dry. Focii in general all got bought up. Hopefully it means the ST will continue...

That’s ridiculous. On the opposite extreme, my local dealer let me not only test drive, but also take home the WRX I wanted to get final spousal approval. She approved, and I’m driving it today. FoST and GTI were also high on my list, but Subaru came through for me - maybe because I was trading in my BRZ for it.

I find the WRX so damned boring even in full bore STi packaging. I also prefer the exterior appearance of the 2013-2014 ST’s. I will be jelly of your upgraded recaro seats. I sadly only have the ST1 cloth seats.

But we did just put in an offer on a house in Thompsons Station, we close then of August.

They tried that with me too but the salesman was cool and said he could take me for a spin with him driving. Shortly after the dealership was out of sight we switched seats. That move made him the sale.

I hope you get a chance to drive one before choosing the Focus. They each have their strong and weak points but if you live somewhere with snowy winters the Subaru is the one to have - Power slides for the win. If not, they’re both great fun with the ST maybe having a slightly more fun balance on dry roads and being a hatchback it’s almost certainly more practical (though I can get 8ft lumber in my WRX).

I wanted them to be like my Boss 302 Recaros. I’ve heard their not that bad once you break em in but damn thier hard when new. Either way fun little car.

I told my whole family to buy Mazdas and now I’m getting a vw whoops. I get what you mean about the subtleties of the GTI, that’s one of the biggest draws to me.
