I’ve only ever seen these with composite lights, never sealed beams - maybe this was sold on this continent when new?

I think that the price is quite good. In Europe the nice ones are usually priced over 10k€.
I have one of these as a project. I got it very cheaply through a friend who had too much projects. It’s rough but it has nearly all necessary parts. A new soft top is the most expensive thing that it still needs.

Interesting, looks like a period correct Ontario plate in that pic. Canada often had a wider range of French cars than the US, which might explain this.
Diesel convertible is definitely a German kind of thing.

I’d see what they go for on the continent, and base pricing on that. Very pretty cars, and still look good with the top up.
