Seen Saturday in the U.S.A. I am amazed I saw a DKW in the U.S. not in a museum. Pictures may appear in a random orientation because of Kinja.

Even weirder: unrestored, high rust state, normal registration apparently on the road like a normal modern car.

Daily driven? All year?

Maybe in fair weather - I have to imagine this would dissolve in a typical PA winter.

Agreed. It is probably a summer car. Classic plates and insurance have silly requirements like a 2,500 mile a year limit and not commuting to work. I am guessing the owner did not want to deal with that.

Funny, back in the day when I was a student, I had the fintail on year of manufacture plates, and it was my normal car - not driven every day, however. The insurance might be harder to trick, but could be done. Harsh environment for a car of that age, I wonder what a normal insurance company thinks of it, how it even exists in their database.

Impressive. Kudos to the owner/driver. A true jalop.

Holy crap I’m 99% sure I saw this car at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix a couple weekends ago! It was cool, awesome to see it being driven!

Awesome. I missed the car show I only got to see a few races Sunday, but they were great.
