I found a cheap Honda Ruckus on the internet

Kinja'd!!!

...It followed me home. It needs work and at 6400 miles it’s a little up there for a 50cc, but it runs and was priced around what one would expect to pay for a well used Chinese Ruckus knockoff

Believe it or not, urban camo was a factory color on these.

Nice score! I really like the Ruckus, but they’re too expensive and too underpowered for my fat ass.

Awesome, more scooters need to be a thing! Would love one for quick jaunts at some point! You can probably find a 70cc or other larger bore kit to get a little more power out of it! :)

Yes, I agree! I ride mine probably more than my motorcycles, they’re perfect for quick errands and commuting in traffic . On the power front, unfortunately not a removable head, so the only real transformative power mod is motor swaps.

It is pretty underpowered, but I was actually pretty surprised at how much get up a four stroke 50 could have.

Keep your eyes open, these were immune to depreciation for a loong time, but that’s changing with the grom being a thing. Prices are finally starting to get into more sane levels. This one, I got for $900 due to some theft damage

Yeah, $1000 was about my limit for something like this, thankfully Portland has a pretty large number of these things rolling about so it was only a matter of time before one popped up at the low end of the price scale.
