Counterpoint: The contemporary ES300 is nicer inside and out and can be had with a manual. I owned one. Two tone beige and brown. It was awesome. Sold due to head issues brought on by power steering issues leading to hydraulic fan not engaging and I had to drive across the country. Still kinda want to get another if they haven’t all been rusted out and/or crushed.

Yeah, it’s overpriced. One presumes there might be some room to negotiate. And someone who wants it badly enough is probably willing to pay more than the car is worth for the privilege of finding a ‘survivor’ in excellent condition.
