Ah shit. :( i suspected/feared this... And it has been confirmed :P don’t know if there’s enough tread left on these to make a road-hazard warranty claim worth the hassle.

How long have you had them? Worth a shot. Clean the tires up good, the cleaner they are the harder it is to gauge the depth in pictures.

haha, thought about it... Swapping the winter tires on, since I’m leaving in an hour... It’ll mean less fun on the exit ramps, but its not a driving trip anyway, just a utility trip.

That might be it...
but I dunno. It could be just an (ugly but harmless) overlap of the sidewall. I had some Goodyear tires (real ones, not Walmart crap) that looked like that, but had zero drivability issues.

i had some Uniroyals once that had a bad mold bump, but were fine... These were not like this before :| I might put them back on when and use them for local jaunts, but i don’t trust that one for 600 miles in one day. On go the snows :P

I had an Eagle RSA2 develop a rather large welt in the sidewall, drove like that for a while, but I felt a lot better after it was replaced.

Direzza ZII *-spec. I like them a lot actually, and I have been...um... Hard on them lately. I think I know when and why that happened.
