Let’s say I want to take a gif of Kramer busting into Jerry’s apartment with my friends head superimposed. What’s the best way to do that?

The way I make gifs is to make every frame in photoshop (easy to get from a regular video file, photoshop will do it for you) and then go back and add the new image everywhere it’s supposed to be. Tedious yes, and there might be a better way out there, but I’m too lazy to figure it out, and this way works.

I take the gif into After Effects. Motion track the shot and apply the tracking data to a new layer.
