Here we have some nice examples of the patina of age, or rust and decrepitude according to how you see it.
Let’s start with a 2002 which has managed to corrode inside as well.
Then we move on to a Corolla. Original paint, original plates, not even washed.
Continuing on a Toyota theme, a Carina:

Patina can work so well on some cars and look like crap on others. I guess the line might be whether it is just age versus neglect that causes it to be acceptable but that can be difficult to judge.

That’s some very odd business going on with the Lightweight, almost as if the owner was trying to make it look like a Jeep. Can’t imagine why they binned the original “breakfast” *and* the headlight mount plates otherwise.

People do all kinds of things to them. If you look up images on Google no two seem to be quite the same.

Indeed. Original paint is one thing, but rust breaking through everywhere is another.
