Libee got picked up by a rescue group late last night. She still needs a home but at least won’t be at risk for being put down.

Good stuff.
Interestingly, we got our dog from a group who rescues dogs from pounds with high kill rates (in our case she was rescued from a pound in Kentucky). She can be tough with people, and we’ve had to do a lot of work with her, but she’s a great dog.

That’s awesome. I feel a lot better knowing she’s been picked up. There are a lot of amazing dogs put down every year all over the country. But, knowing one personally was very stressful. I was told she was going to get picked up and then later after they closed I was told she did not. Then I got a text around 10 saying she may have been picked up. Then I got 2 texts from people in the know that she got picked up late and a message on instagram from the shelter she got picked up.

I got my dog when a family friend found her and her sister in a box in a dumpster. They were so small she thought they were rats.
