I said “Hey dad are you interested in any tools they may be on sale.” This was followed by a call “hey look if they have any ..”, then another, then another.
On a side note the plate collection keeps growing.

Lifetime guarantee, as long as you don’t outlive Craftsman.
Are you deeply depressed now? I am.

Craftsman will outlive Sears, the only thing to be determined is if the warranty will be honored.

I used to like the lifetime garenteed and then the sear closest to me closed. Do now I have certian tools I can’t replace until I drive another 50 Minutes

There was a time when Sears sold houses . I’m so sad that all of the existing Sears near me are in places I’m afraid to visit.

looks like Stanley is still going to honor the warrenty. As the cost is much less than the loss of brand reputation.

And you just know Electrolux and Haier are circling Hoffman Estates like buzzards waiting to swoop in for Kenmore.

Wait until their going out of business sale. I’m going to one either this weekend or next. Girlfriend said “Hey, Sears is having a going out of business sale. It just started though” I say “I probably could use some discounted craftsman tools.” She says “, Or I was thinking we look for stuff for the new place.”

So how many plates do you have now? I collected them when I was younger, and still do but much more slowly now, like, one per year maybe. I try not to buy them, that’s part of the deal... Now that I think of it, I haven’t see the one I bought in Bermuda (breaking my rule) since I came back. Hmmm.......

Cool. I had an uncle working at a junkyard as a kid, he was in CA and I was in New England. So I got a lot of eastern states from friends and family, and the uncle provided most of the western states and then some. How a car with Alabama plates finds its way to a CA junkyard is not clear. But anyway, I got all 50 states by the time I was like, 12. Since then I’ve been slowly accumulating interesting ones, and since ebay appeared in the world I’ve realized if you want to go crazy, you can - so I don’t - and I try not to spend money on them at all.
My most interesting ones are probably Lebanon, Tasmania, and Guam.
