I found a receipt like that outside my old apartment near LAX. For awhile I had a number of customer service agents for an Asian carrier living below me, and at least one of them had a solid six figures sitting around in a local bank account. They certainly weren’t earning enough to make that much so I figured it was daddy’s money...

1. There are ways to get around the $250k limit and bump it up so that you can have $1m+ in an account and still have full FDIC coverage.
2. Maybe they just made a transaction and haven’t moved it yet?
