Trailer tongue sheared from internal rust and big dual axle trailer... veered into heavy oncoming traffic and collided with an elderly couples car, one of the occupants was injured but has made a full recovery.

Actually I’m surprised more G-wagens don’t fall off of lifts. They’re a pain and the lift points are really close together.

Are they really? That sounds scary. What do you do, put a couple of extra stands underneath to brace it?

If I need to, yes. There are also special adapters to use with the lift to keep the vehicle from slipping off. But generally if you’re careful about where you position the lift everything will be fine. Things get scary when you have an inexperienced tech setting the lift and not being cautious enough. I assume the one above was a brand new car getting a PDI, or at least very low mileage. In which case it would have a coating of wax on every part of the undercarriage, which is very slippery on lift points.
