Well, when I say I, I mean I sanded it and rubbed it down with alcohol and Dad sprayed it (my hands aren’t steady enough and I don’t really have the patience. Or the eyesight) Just so it wasn’t *quite* as ugly. No, I’m not fully painting it yet. Yes, we put clear coat on it.

I just wish it wasn’t so damn rusty. Being in MI sucks. There isn’t a rust free bed in the state, unless you want to spend $500 or more. Even those are hard to find.

Clearcoating it was the right thing to do. Uncovered primer is just begging for even more rust.

are there any rust free FRONT fenders?? that you could just cheat off of, and cut out the opening, and stick it in the spot........

The real problem is the actual wheel tubs. They’re junk. Rock Auto has the outer patch panel, but not the tubs.
