Send some positive vibes towards Jawara McIntosh’s way. He’s Peter Tosh’s son and is in a coma after being beaten in a NJ prison. Hardcore, punk, and reggae music has played a big role in my life and helped me get through a lot of stuff. Reggae has always been my therapy music, helping to soothe me when I’m stressed. I truly think it is some f the greatest music ever created, and while I don’t share the same religious beliefs of many its musicians, I definitely identify with the message of human unity and oneness that the music promotes. There’s no music more heartfelt and genuine than reggae. Mr. McIntosh was serving a sentence for having some cut up an dried out plants in his car. Land of the free amirite? One of my favorite songs from his pops:

I read that, sad stuff. Note that he was caught with 65 lbs (!) of cut up and dried plants, which is well over $100k in street value according to my math.

Yeah, that’s a lot of ganga. Both he and his dad were activists for the legalization of marijuana as it is used by Rastafarians for religious purposes.
