...and i’ve nearly got a silencer :) just need to sort out a mounting bracket, pack it with padding and rivet it all together. I’ve made it so that it’s easy to disassemble for re-packing too :)
I think i’m up to 7 days of work on this so not sure if it still qualifies for ‘world’s fastest’ anymore. That’s scope creep for you...
Still to do: rebuild forks, rebuild brake master cylinder, number plate mount, number plate light, resistors for LED indicators, paint the rear of the frame, re-dye the seat, fit the chain and new tyres :) oh, and then see if it runs...

That was the plan yeah :) after making this I can see how bloody difficult headers are going to be so I might see if I can pick up a cheap set to butcher rather than make some from scratch.
However, after making this I’ve seen how relatively uncomplicated it is to make silencers. Shall see how this sounds and then give it a try :)

Awesome, yeah I guess headers are going to be hard, but a muffler seems quite doable (the fact that you just built one shows that, haha)

4-cyl ones wouldn’t be too bad, but for 6-cyl in such a confined space you’re starting to get into bundle of snakes territory :S still doable, but would be so damn complicated!
Yeah a muffler’s really quite doable. Would be easier entirely in stainless as well :) the outside tube of this one is alloy because lightweight :)
