Whats your desk set up look like?
I’m in the market for a stand up desk, probably getting an Autonomous desk. Looked at the Bekant from Ikea, its the updated Galant which is my current desk. Priced going to its sit/stand legs and the Autonomous desk is cheaper.
Just wanna see other peoples desks to get an idea for my next one. My Galant is going to my office, I need it’s larger area there more so than at home.
PC is a 6700k with an H100, 32gb ram,Strix 1070 with a NZXT G10 and H110 512gb 950 pro, 1TB 850 Evo, 6TB WD Drive for backups, and my home security feed’s DVR. Mobo is a Z170i Pro Gaming.
Just wanna get ideas before I go sit/stand, see if there’s a desk someone has that may work.

Don’t think my setup will work for you, it’s my coffee table with usually my MBP, a few iPads, various HDs, and occasionally a few tools just sitting on it. Sometimes there are two or three MBPs if I need to bring client computers home with me.

I can’t go that small. The Galant was my first desk that I actually bought. It’s big, and I love all the space it has.
Do those chair mats help? My office has carpet and if I didn’t own the place, I would be worried about the carpet. Its a perfect ring of pushed down carpet under my chair.

Its the Ikea Galant with 2 monitors on a 45 dollar stand off amazon.
I like it, but I’ll miss it’s space.

i am not a heathen, thus I do not use a standing desk.
People who use those are weird and make me uncomfortable. Much like standing behind a desk all day, instead of sitting behind one.

Yep. Two HP 27es monitors. Got them for $130 each on Black Friday.
I know what you mean about big desks. I love them. My last desk was a glass L-shape desk that I used for 10-11 years. But I didn’t like that it enabled me to be sloppy. It gave me a lot of space to put clutter on. I went to a smaller desk and it’s great.
The mat helps a bit, but the one I got is a little too thin. The chair kind of digs into the mat and makes it harder to roll around.

No, its not an actual desk, but a desk is anything that has a PC on it on a regular basis.

I ascribe to the Albert Einstein theory of the messy desk. And this is actually fairly clean. I can’t remember the last time I actually wrote on my desk. This is what Einstein’s desk looked like on the day he died:

Ah, my desk usually looks like the pic. Other than some snacks, or a drink on.

Just upgraded my desk a few weeks ago. I was on a cheap rubbermaid table but now I have a proper desk to use (and I can mount my G27 to it to play racing games!). I love having the L shaped desk as I can have a video going on my monitor while I work on my laptop or vice-versa.
My PC is a Dell XPS 15 (one of the first batch of late 2015 9550 models) with a 6700HQ, 16GB of ram, and a 512GB SSD. Handles all the school work and gaming I need it to.
