l live (literally) at a dive bar, have no qualms about chain smoking, I sleep weird hours, I am constantly internally monolouging...

no joke, it’s been a dream of mine since I was like 8. Unfortunately you need 5 years investigative experience in NJ to get licensed. Need a license to investigate....need investigation experience to get licensed....I can’t become a cop because I refuse to shave my head. How am I supposed to do this?

You can investigate under someone else’s license as long as they hire you and that is how you build up your time to apply for your own licence.

Shaving your head is the least of your worries in a police academy. Having any real amount of hair in that environment would just be a pain the ass.

I spent 8 years as a PI. It’s nothing like TV or Movies. Now it was fun but a PI who sits in dive bars is a broke PI.
