I honestly really dig the way these look. They make sense. It’s a Camry with less dull styling. What more could you want?

Can you do a V6 swap from a Camry SE?

Still ugly though :P
(Obviously people disagree with me, but I’m fine with them being wrong)
The first-gen was a much prettier car.

The first gen almost had 90s car simplicity about it and to me that’s a good thing.

I rather liked this design when it came out. And that bulletproof Toyota build quality ... why not?

I lie that grey on the first one and those wheels are nice.

I think there’s a TRD supercharger kit.

The first gen is a proper-looking liftback, but finding one with low miles and a 5-speed isn’t easy, some have oil-consumption issues (usually related to first owners going way too long between oil changes), and the plastic body piece on the rear hatch will break off no less than seven times.

Actually really spacious inside.
They fit four 5'8-6 foot adults pretty comfortably. The liftback space is also nice.

I don’t know what it is with Scion TC’s, but most that I’ve seen for sale have been in some severe accidents. It’s almost like their drivers just suck.

I’ve only had that problem in the current gen Mustang. Solution is to remove your neck with a hacksaw and place your head directly onto your shoulders.

Oh, but it’s not a Camry.
It’s an Avensis. (Which we didn’t get, but the Lexus HS 250h was close to one. The next closest relative would be the Gen 3 Prius, but it didn’t have the independent rear suspension, or the Toyota Auris (also known as Scion iM/Corolla iM) and Lexus CT 200h, which are smaller, but share the platform and suspension.)

The Scion TC is actually built on the avenis chassis iirc.
They aren’t terrible though. 6 speed manual and 180hp isn’t awful. The 2ar is pretty stout as well. Decent chassis with double wishbone in the rear.

Not for the second gen, but the 2ar takes decently to boost.
