I will defend that film to my dying day. It satisfies all of my Alien dorkdom by having a Space Jockey, it’s has old school sci-fi “now we’re dying for trying to learn more about existence” morality, and the vagina snake scene is 100% believable to anyone who has ever met a biologist.

Most people complain that that scene is dumb, but I’ve yet to meet a single biologist who wouldn’t be killed by the vagina snake in that situation.

I’ve seen it at least a dozen times looking for that hidden meaning then I realized I just like the space need parts of it and I can leave the overarching thematic elements.

I watched some video on YouTube explaining Prometheus and it almost ruined it. It’s a film best enjoyed by looking at Michael Fassbender’s pretty, pretty face and not asking questions.

I’m one of those weirdos who really liked Prometheus. I was actually hoping the movie that became Alien Covenant would be a direct sequel following what happened to Shaw and David in the engineer ship. I still haven’t seen it after finding out it wouldn’t be but I probably will eventually.

I love that movie so much. I had its connection to Alien spoiled for me, but somehow managed to forget it when I saw it. Few films have filled me with such child-like joy like that film.
