Contrasting floor mats?

I’m looking at proper floor mats for the Passat, and was thinking of getting a contrasting colour.

The Passat is black on black, with just a few little pieces of gray trim here-and-there. How silly/awesome would tan, gray, or saddle brown mats look? I could even go for something colourful, like blue or green.

What would Oppo do?

Go for color. It’s the spice of life...

Or something like that.

Grey could be neat, since there’s some grey in there. You’ll barely notice contrasting mats...

I had mistakenly ordered gray mats for my black interior and it was not a nice effect. Floormats should blend IMO, but mine were the weather tech mats, so they are a bit bigger than regular plush mats. So the effect on plush mats might not be so bad. I’ve done black mats on a tan interior and that worked fine, but lighter mats might be a litttle much. Oh, and night I recommend the wethertech liners, so nice, especially for us up here in the rust belt in winter. But even in dry climates, those mats are really nice.
