There’s a lot of amazing views and less bugs here. Still bugs, but nothing like northern Ontario, which I’ve learned is what people call western Ontario

I mean, I can see people calling it northwestern Ontario, but not western Ontario. Either way, less bugs than northern Ontario sounds appealing.

Northern Ontario makes me think towards hudsons bay, but I think it just means anything north of Toronto?
Yeah quite a bit less. I’m never camping in Ontario again if I can help it, I’ve never had so many bites

The red region is Northern Ontario. So anything north of Lake Huron/Georgian Bay. Fun fact: less than a million people live in this region.

Huh. Yeah I can believe that few live there. The biggest place we went through was Thunder Bay, and it’s not that big. Sudbury is a thing too, but we went past and not through it.
